Mennill acclaimed

Almost every municipal political office in East and Central Elgin will be contested in the Oct. 27 elections.

As of the deadline for nominations Friday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m., incumbent Mayor David Mennill of Malahide was returned to office by acclamation.

In Bayham, incumbent Ward 3 Councillor Ed Ketchabaw will return.

And in Central Elgin, incumbent Ward 3 Councillor Stephen Carr is acclaimed.
