Wolfe upsets Jenkins in Malahide

Councillor Mike Wolfe bested incumbent Jim Jenkins, 1,310 votes to 955, to win election as Malahide’s new deputy mayor, Monday, Oct. 27.

In Ward 1, incumbent Councillor Mark Widner held onto his seat over challenger George Steenbergen, 370 votes to 185.

In Ward 2, incumbent Cr. Max Moore did the same over challenger Paul Vanderwyst, 242 to 167.

In Ward 3, newcomer Rick Cerna bested fellow political rookie Jake Quiring 243 to 205.

And in Ward 5, incumbent Cr. Chester Glinski topped challenger Tom Charlton, 318 to 171.
