Hair off at EESS for United Way

EESS hair cutEast Elgin Secondary School Principal Brendon White, middle, had his hair trimmed to a short brush cut by InStyle Salon apprentice hair stylist Danika McAnulty, left, at the school’s television studio on Thursday morning, Nov. 20. United Way Campaign and Communications Coordinator Melissa Schneider interviewed Mr. White briefly as his hair came off in celebration of the school surpassing its $10,000 fundraising goal for the United Way. Vice-Principal Abe Wall had his ponytail cut off by InStyle owner and stylist Nicole Pede. The hair cutting ceremony was aired live across the school during the daily morning announcements. Through a series of events over the past several weeks, the students and staff raised $10,472.
