Mayor Currie sworn into office

Mayor CurrieIncoming Aylmer Mayor Greg Currie waved to the gallery which included his wife Avril after he was presented with the official Chain of Office by Clerk Nancie Irving during the inaugural town council meeting on Monday night, Dec. 1. All seven councillors-elect were sworn into office during the meeting by reading a declaration while holding a Bible. After the oath of office, Mayor Currie received the Chain of Office which symbolizes him being the head of council.
