Dave Underhill
Underhill, Dave of Calton passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Sunday, April 30, 2023 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of the late Marion “Mary Kay”(Mc Mullen) Underhill (2016). Loving father of Ryan(Stacey) Underhill, Sydney Underhill, Morgan Underhill(Rick) & Makenzie Underhill. Much loved grandfather to Ellie, Jack, Ivy, Rileigh, Ivan and his sixth on the way. Brother of Randy Underhill(late Mary), Teri Widner(Mark) and Chris Underhill. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Joanne and Lisa and niece Chantel. Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario on January 9, 1957, son of the late Marvin and Margaret(Gunstone) Underhill. To meet Dave was to love Dave. He grew up working on cars and motorcycles, met the love of his life on the beach, married and built their life together. Dave was always there for his family and like his father, built his family a home. He operated his own business and was known as the “Dentman.” He retired after the love of his life passed suddenly and focused on doing things he truly enjoyed. He bought the cars he always dreamed of, including the car he met Mary Kay in. He golfed, snowmobiled, took his favourite cars to Cruise nights in Tillsonburg, rode his motorcycle and spent time with his many friends. Dave spent every opportunity he could with his children and grandchildren. After sadly being diagnosed with ALS last March, then in October, finding out he was expecting his sixth grandchild in June, his ultimate goal was to meet his youngest daughter’s first baby. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday from 5:30-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment, Smuck Cemetery.
