She moved to Aylmer Ontario in the early 1950’s and worked as a civilian in payroll at the RCAF base in Aylmer. She met her husband Ralph at the base and they were married and began their family life together in 1954. She was a partner in business for more than 35 years with Ralph at Ralph Johnston Motors Ltd. Pat was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, a community volunteer with the Aylmer Kinettes and a Meals on Wheels Volunteer. She was a very independent woman who adored her family, valued and appreciated her friends and cherished her house and little black car. Storytelling was a favourite pastime for Mom and her listeners. The family would like to express gratitude towards the 5th floor staff of LHSC and the 4th floor staff at STEGH for their compassionate care over the past few weeks and the welcoming staff at Seasons Retirement Community, St. Thomas. Service details will be announced at a later date. If you wish, we kindly ask that you consider donations to The Aylmer and District Museum or the Aylmer Community Foundation.
