Sylvia Alice (nee Pell) Brady

BRADY, Sylvia Alice (née Pell) of Port Rowan, passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, January 20th, 2020, at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of James “Jim” Brady. Loving mother of Deb Kostyria (Dave), Brian “Sam” Hooker (late Janice) and Cindy Webber (Lonnie). Cherished grandmother of Kevin and Trevor Kostyria, Michael and Jill Hooker and Jodi, Darcy and Darryl Webber. Dear sister of Joyce Prothero (Jack), Virginia Steele, Janet Stamas (Chuck), and George Pell (Catherine). Predeceased by her brothers, David and Fred Pell. Lovingly remembered by her 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sylvia was born in St. Thomas on January 10th, 1937, daughter of the late William Pell Jr. and the late Marie (Stoner) Pell. She was a member of the Aylmer Legion Br. 81 and the Port Rowan Legion Br. 379. Sylvia was also involved with Aylmer Ducks Unlimited, Aylmer Wetland Suzies and the Long Point Ladies. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas where visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2020 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Old St Thomas Churchyard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Ducks Unlimited, the Legion Poppy Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
