Southwick running for deputy mayor

Thomas Southwick, the Ward 1 councillor of Bayham, has filed his nomination to run for deputy mayor in the Oct. 27 municipal election.

A Clarke Road resident, Cr. Southwick said he wanted to continue the good work that Bayham has accomplished over the past four years since he was elected.

No other nominations had been received as of Monday, May 26 for deputy mayor.

Mayor Paul Ens had submitted his nomination to run again as mayor earlier in the month.

Other candidates who had filed their nominations included current Ward 2 Cr. Wayne Casier and John Faulkner who will run against each other in that ward.
