David LaPointe seeking re-election

Aylmer Councillor David LaPointe is seeking re-election in the Oct. 27 municipal election.

He submitted his nomination with the town clerk’s office on Tuesday morning, July 29.

First elected in 2010, Cr. LaPointe is the chairman of Aylmer Police Services Board and had previously served on the East Elgin Community Complex Board of Management.

He works on the line at the Oakville Ford Assembly Plant and had worked at the St. Thomas Ford Assembly Plant before it closed in September 2011.

He has lived in Aylmer with his wife Donna since 2002 and together the couple have two grown children.
