One sent to hospital in Lyons crash

A woman who was the passenger in a dark grey Chevrolet Impala was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Imperial Road and Lyons Line north of Aylmer on Tuesday afternoon, July 22. The two occupants of the white Chrysler 200 were uninjured. The driver of the Impala, a 61-year-old St. Thomas man, was also uninjured but was charged with the Highway Traffic Act offence of fail to yield to traffic on a through highway. The ticket would cost the driver a total fine of $110 and three points added to their driving record. The ticket could be fought in court.
