Aylmer Mayor takes the ALS Challenge
Aylmer Mayor Jack Couckuyt was soaked by three buckets of ice water in front of Town Hall at noon on Monday, Aug. 25 after he accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Aylmer Police Chief Andre Reymer. He also made an undisclosed donation to the ALS Society of Canada. Pouring the ice water over Mayor Couckuyt’s head were Councillors Pete Barbour, left, and Arthur Oslach along with Deputy Mayor Gerry Richer. Chief Reymer had a bucket of ice water poured over his head on Friday, Aug. 22 after accepting the challenge from Constable Cindy Sowa. Chief Reymer also issued an Ice Bucket Challenge to Aylmer mayoral candidate Greg Currie.
