EESS Seniors off to Ohio for football game

East Elgin Secondary School Senior football team players raised a cheer prior to a practice Thursday, Aug. 28. This year’s senior squad had 52 members, and will travel to Watkins Memorial High School in Etna Township, Ohio, for an exhibition game on Friday, Sept. 5, before returning home for another exhibition match under the lights at EESS Friday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. The first home game of the regular season will be against London South Friday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. East Elgin’s Junior team has just under 60 players, and an exhibition game against London Laurier is being organized for the night of Thursday, Sept. 11.
