Spitfires edge Paris in preseason action

The Aylmer Jr. C Spitfires hockey club pulled off a come from behind 3-2 win at home versus the Paris Mounties on Wednesday, Aug. 27 during preseason action. Celebrating the first goal of the game by the Spitfires were Spencer Roloson, left, Josh Lockhart (who scored the goal), Jessiah Sweetland, Josh Houston and Jason Creces. The Spitfires host New Hamburg for an exhibition game at East Elgin Community Complex on Sunday, Sept. 7, puck drop at 2:15 p.m. Aylmer visits Thamesford on Friday, Sept. 19 (7:30 p.m. start) to kick off the regular season and their first home game is Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. versus North Middlesex.
