Port Burwell pupils celebrate Literacy Day

Port Burwell Public School pupils Kalee Broughton, left, and Stacey Kaufmann-Norris tried not to get into each other’s way while browsing for new-to-them titles during a used book swap at their school on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Pupils were encouraged to bring in used age-appropriate books from home for the swap that was held in celebration of Family Literacy Day. For every book a pupil brought into the school, they received a “give one, get one” coupon to acquire another book.
