Spitfires topple Lancers
Aylmer Jr. C Spitfires defenseman Kyle DiCicco, left, occupied a Lambeth forward in front of the net to keep him from getting to any loose pucks during game two of their first round playoff series on Saturday night, Feb. 7 at East Elgin Community Complex. Aylmer won 6-4 to even the series at a game a piece. Aylmer’s Andrew Goldberg scored a natural hat-trick that bridged the first and second periods to lead his team to victory. Also scoring for the Spitfires were Josh Lockhart, Robert Shaw and Josh Houston. Spitfires goalie Lucas Easterbrook made 32 saves for the win. Game three was played in Lambeth on Sunday night, Feb. 8 with game four back in Aylmer on Wednesday, Feb. 11 starting at 8:15 p.m.
