Sr. Eagles victorious at basketball tourney

Chelsea Zavitz of East Elgin Secondary School made a shot on the Stratford St. Michael’s net during the first quarter of the final of a Senior girls basketball tournament at Mother Teresa Secondary School in London on Saturday, Oct. 24. She landed badly and slammed into the wall, seemingly cracking her ankle. She was helped off the court and, by the start of the second half of the game, was trying to walk off her injury. Her team, after taking an early lead, struggled during the second and third quarters, but came on in the fourth to win the tournament 49-39.
