Finding anchor tenant for Complex abandoned

The search for securing an anchor tenant for ground floor hall space at East Elgin Community Complex has ground to a halt.

Malahide and Aylmer councillors unanimously approved a resolution during the Wednesday, Jan. 13 EECC Interim Board meeting that directed staff there to continue scheduling hall rentals without a six-month rolling window for the foreseeable future.

Aylmer Administrator Jennifer Reynaert reported that the request for proposals seeking bids from outside property management firms to secure a long-term anchor tenant or tenants for the EECC resulted in no submissions and no interest from potential tenants.
