OUA skating takes over Complex

McGill University’s Berengeir Garnica, left, and her partner Kia Szpak were the last to perform in front of the judges in the Intermediate Similar Pairs category during the Ontario University Athletics Winter Invitational skating competition at East Elgin Community Complex on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Skating teams from 11 universities across Ontario and Quebec competed in the event that continued into the next day at the Complex. The team from McGill University of Montreal travelled the farthest to the competition. Other schools that participated included Western University of London, University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University of Waterloo, Queen’s University of Kingston, Ryerson University of Toronto and Carlton University of Ottawa.
