Hard times for EESS Junior boys
Darren Catt of East Elgin Secondary School passed the ball despite the efforts of a host Beal Secondary School defender during the opening game of a WOSSAA “AAA” championship tournament in London on Thursday, Feb. 25. EESS lost that game by a wide margin, but seemed to be having better luck in the bronze-medal match against Catholic Central High. East Elgin was winning in the second half of that game when fatigue caught up with the local players, and CCH capitalized on that to win 35-28.
