No one injured in Lyons crashes
Two cars slipped off the road and ended up in opposite ditches while travelling on Imperial Road just north of Lyons on Wednesday morning, Feb. 10. Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police Constable Troy Carlson said the driver of the first car was travelling north on Imperial Road just north of Lyons Line at about 8:20 a.m. when they lost control and struck and broke a hydro pole on the west side of the road knocking it down. The electrical wires fell across both lanes. About a minute later, a southbound driver saw the wires across the road and lost control of their car which entered into east ditch rolling onto its roof. Const. Carlson said no one was injured and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. This photo was contributed by the Elgin OPP.
