Cooling off at Corn Fest

Owen Adams, 1, carefully approached one of the jets of water at the Aylmer Splash Pad in Balmoral Park on Saturday, Aug. 20 during the annual Sweet Corn Fest. Sponsored by MainStreet Aylmer, Corn Fest featured free children’s jump and bounce activities, a hamburger and hotdog barbecue with fresh corn on the cob, live music by the Derrick Drover Band and free wagon rides by Farmtown Canada. Downtown merchants also held sidewalk sales.
