Maria Kalmikov

KALMIKOV, Maria in her 86th year, passed away on Monday, January 13th at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener, ON. Maria was born on July 7, 1934 in Waltersdorf, Romania. Her parents were Peter & Maria Bachner. She was loved by her two sisters Katie (George) Ungar, Rosie (John) Karst, and two brothers Peter Bachner and Mike Bachner. Maria met and married her husband Anton (Tony) Kalmikov in Austria, and they moved to Canada in July of 1956 and resided on Caverly Rd., Aylmer, ON. They had two sons; Harold (Lorrie) Kalmikov and Richard (Linda) Kalmikov. Maria was an Oma who was devoted to her grandchildren Jennifer Kalmikov (Scott Stubbs) and Blair (Jaime) Kalmikov, as well as her two great grandchildren Marshall and Callum Stubbs. Oma was shared with step-grandchildren Stephanie and Craig Antonissen. Maria was pre-deceased by her parents, her brother Peter Bachner, her husband Tony Kalmikov (1998), and her brother Mike Bachner. Maria’s life will forever be cherished by her family.
