Luise Schneider
SCHNEIDER, Luise passed away suddenly but peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in her 91st year. Luise was a resident of Sparta for many years. Beloved wife of the late Otto Schneider (1992). Dear Mother of Erich Schneider (Brigitte) of Sparta. Loving oma of Melissa Schneider (Darren), Andreas Schneider and Stefan Schneider. Beloved great-oma to Luka Jones. Born in Munich, Germany on April 24, 1929, to parents Richard and Babette ‘Betty’ Senser, Luise came to Canada with her husband and young son by boat in 1954. The family landed in Toronto before moving to Tillsonburg and eventually settling into their new home and farm in Sparta. Here Luise and Otto planted the seeds for generations to come. They were life-long dedicated farmers who worked tirelessly and lovingly together for decades. Luise remained a farmer and businesswoman at heart, long after her husband passed and she retired. She was a long-time member of both St. John’s Lutheran Church and the German Canadian Club. Luise loved her family very much, and her new great-grandson brought her joy in her final year. She had a passion for gardening, cooking delicious family dinners, making sure her humming birds were well-fed, and a fondness for German Shepherds. The family held a private service at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home in Aylmer on Saturday May 9, 2020. The funeral will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel. She will be interred in the Sparta Cemetery, re-united in heaven with her husband who has waited 28 years for her with open arms. She will be greatly missed by her family, her lifetime friends from around the world, and all who knew her. Those wishing to make donations may donate to The German-Canadian Club of Aylmer.
