Christmas sounds at Old Town Hall Theatre

Katherine Thompson of the Aylmer Area Community Choir not only sang during the annual Christmas concert that was held by the Choir and the Aylmer Area Community Band at Old Town Hall Theatre on Friday night, Nov. 27, she did double duty as the master of ceremonies. She explained the background and provided interesting and fun information about the songs that were performed that night. This year’s concert had the theme of Christmas Around the World. A couple hours prior to the concert, the Christmas lights in Palmer Park and Balmoral Park in Aylmer were lit without an official ceremony. Organizers decided to cancel the annual Christmas lighting ceremony in Palmer Park because of the rain that was lingering in the Aylmer area that day and evening.
