Cornelia “Coreen” Dymphna Vandermarel

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 23, 2019, Coreen (Veraart) Vandermarel passed away at the age of 80 years.  Beloved wife of the Late Antonie “Tony”  Vandermarel (1991).  Proud and loving mother of Cathy Withenshaw (Mike) of Tillsonburg, Deb Holcombe (Tony) of Brownsville and Joanne Hayward (Larry) of Clear Creek.  Cherished grandma of Ang Andriekus (Adam), Mike Holcombe (Trish), Matt Holcombe (Ashley), Elizabeth Vandermarel (Dustin), Chad Hayward and great-grandma of Daythan Hayward, MacKenzie Parker, Aislynn Dyck and Reena Dyck.  Dear sister of Laurens Veraart (Georgena), Frank Veraart (Faye), Rinus Veraart (Alice), Bas Veraart (Jane), Kathy Lilley, Cobi Paton (Richard), Ria Anstee and sister-in-law Shirley Veraart.  Coreen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her brother John Veraart, brother-in-law Donald “Duck” Lilley, 2 nieces and 1 nephew.  Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Coreen at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 pm.  The Funeral Service for Coreen will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Paul Robinson officiating.  Interment to follow at Delmer Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
