Dora Alice Carter

CARTER, Dora Alice passed away peacefully at Huronview in Clinton on Friday September 18, 2020, just two days before her 89th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Sims Carter (1994) whom she will finally rejoin once again. Loving mother of Shirley (Jerry) of Goderich and son John. Predeceased by son Bob (2012).  Loving grandmother to Blaine, Jeb (Anita), Adam, Brian (Jen), Eli (Rae Anne), Fraser (Anita), Graeme, Taylor (Laura). Blessed with 8 grandchildren whom she so enjoyed seeing in iPad photos. Born in Belleville, September 20th, 1931 she was the youngest daughter of the late Lee and Alice Graves. Predeceased by her sisters Della and Stella. A long-time resident of Aylmer and area her greatest joy throughout life came from her family and friends. Mom will be remembered for her outgoing personality and her ‘gift of gab’. She enjoyed farm life as well as numerous social connections working in retail and owning a business. Cremation has taken place and due to Covid restrictions a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated in her memory.
