Gordon “Gord” Holmes

Sadly, Gord Holmes of Aylmer/St. Thomas area passed away on February 26, 2023 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital at the age of 85. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Steve and Lisa, his grandchildren Marissa (Andrew) and Scott, his great grandchildren Calder and Landon, and his sister Jean. He was predeceased by his son Paul, and siblings: Bev, Bob, Jack, Bill, Helen, Joan and Doug. Gord retired after over 30 years of service from Ford Motor Company in Talbotville, Ontario. After retirement Gord spent many days helping others with his handyman skills. He was an avid sports fan and spent many years cheering for the Pittsburg Steelers and Toronto Maple Leafs. He lived out his golden years enjoying a farm view, with his four-legged companions by his side. A private family ceremony will be held to celebrate the life of Gord.
