Jacob Kroondijk
Kroondijk, Jacob (1945-2021) Sad but grateful for the many years we had together, God has called our dear husband, father and pake, Jacob Kroondijk home on January 13, 2021, after a short illness, in his 76th year. Born in Weststellingwerf, Friesland, The Netherlands to the late Jacob Kroondijk Sr. and Betje (van de Honing) Kroondijk. He was married for 52 wonderful years to his beloved wife Janny Kroondijk, of Brownsville. Caring father to: André (Janneke), of Belmont; “John” Janco, of Brownsville; Bettina (Randy Poortinga), of Harrietville; Andy (Esther), of Brownsville. Beloved pake to 10 grandchildren: Tyler (Jessica), Ryan, Dylan, Selena, Caleb, Naomi, Josiah, Elaina, Lucas and Arielle. Survived by his siblings: Hans (Greetje), (late Hiltje Kroondijk), Grietje (Johannes) Huisman, Jan (Grietje) Kroondijk, Annie (Jan) Pronk, Gosse (late Akky) Kroondijk, Auke (Rennie) Kroondijk. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his beloved son Jacob Bert Kroondijk and his brother Anne Kroondijk. Jacob was a dedicated and involved member of God’s church. He will be greatly missed by all his family members, friends and church family. Jacob enjoyed his participation in Bible study with his wife Janny, and together they proudly supported Teen Challenge Farm (London), Fresh Start Support Services (St. Thomas) and Anchor Canadian Reformed Association for the Handicapped (Beamsville).

Due to COVID-related attendance restrictions, the Funeral Service to Remember Jacob will be a private family event. Private family visitation will take place in Bethel United Reformed Church, Aylmer. Friends and relatives are invited to show their support and care by attending a contactless visitation ‘drive-by’, on Monday, January 18th, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Bethel United Reformed Church, 49823 Talbot Line, Aylmer. Interment followed in the Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to the “Fresh Start Support Services,” or to “Anchor Canadian Reformed Association for the Handicapped” would be gratefully acknowledged and can be made through the Maurice J.
