John Leslie “Les” Gurr

Gurr, John Leslie “Les” of St. Thomas and formerly of Aylmer passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 26, 2020 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret(Peters) Gurr. Dear father of John(Suzanne) of St. Thomas and Janet Campbell(Stephen) of Port Bruce. Loving grandfather of Jacey Denis(Eric), Jaclyn Gurr(Alex) and Jessica Milton. Brother of Helen Weyler, Margaret Watson, Edna Buck, Jane Greaves(Ted) and George Gurr(Kathy). Predeceased by a brother Lawrence Gurr. He will be missed by a number of in-laws, nieces and nephews. Born in Simcoe, Ontario on March 29, 1945, son of the late Stanley and Emma(Wardell) Gurr. Les was an auto-mechanic in Aylmer and St. Thomas for many years. He had a passion for classic cars. Cremation has taken place. There will be no service. Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the VON Middlesex-Elgin would be appreciated.
