John Nasswetter

NASSWETTER, John of Vienna passed away at his residence on Monday, May 18, 2020 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Laurel (Rose) Nasswetter. Dear father of Katie Abernathy and husband Michael of Guelph and John Nasswetter of Vienna. Loving grandfather of Kayla and Brooke. Son of the late Michael and Katharina (Horeth) Nasswetter and brother of the late Michael Nasswetter. Brother-in-law of Roberta and uncle of Stefan Nasswetter of Montreal. Also survived by a number of close cousins and family in Canada, Germany and Austria.  Born in Equarhofen, Germany on November 14, 1947, he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1951. John was a lifelong farmer and grew tobacco for many years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the German Canadian Club. A private family service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 11:00 am. The funeral will be available on the Kebbel Funeral Home YouTube channel. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Victoria Order of Nurses would be appreciated.
