William E. Head

William E. Head passed away peacefully in the early morning of Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Aylmer Retirement Residence, in his 93rd year.

Cherished husband of Corleen Head.  Loved Dad of Barbara and her husband Kevin Quantrill.  Dear brother of Jean Bond.  Predeceased by his brothers Howard, Harry, Raymond, Tom, and sisters Alice and Hazel.

William Head was born on October 11, 1926 in Spring Bay, Manitoulin Island.  Bill worked in the lumber camps at a young age before going to work on the coal boats on the Great Lakes.  While employed with Ontario Hydro he worked all across Ontario.  Bill and Corleen married, and he worked at Falconbridge Nickel Mine in Sudbury before moving to Aylmer in 2002 to be near his daughter.

Bill was a quiet man; he loved to ‘tinker’; was tough as nails.

Cremation has taken place.
