Torch Run sweeps through Police College

Ontario Police College Director Bruce Herridge, right, led well over 300 cadets, senior students and staff during the 27th annual Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run at the College on Tuesday, June 10. Meeting Director Herridge for high fives along the start of the run were Special Olympians Rachel Dancy, left, Tanya Leeming and Bill Chisholm. Over 80 Special Olympics athletes from London and their volunteer coaches were on hand for the Torch Run and were treated to a barbecue dinner afterwards before their soccer and softball teams challenged cadets to some games. The OPC cadet classes and staff raised a total of over $6,800 for the Special Olympics prior to the Torch Run.
