Crash sends five to area hospitals

A two vehicle crash south of St. Thomas on the early evening of Thursday, Aug. 21 sent five people to area hospitals.

Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police Constable Troy Carlson said the crash happened at 7:07 p.m. at the intersection of Fairview Road and John Wise Line.

One woman was airlifted to a London hospital and was listed in serious but not life-threatening condition.

Police have charged a 19-year-old Stratford woman with careless driving.
