Eagles edge CECI in Senior girls basketball
East Elgin Secondary School’s Lindsay Nooren used her height and reach advantage to pass the ball over a Central Elgin player during a Senior girls basketball game in Aylmer on Thursday, Oct. 16. East Elgin won 32-28 to improve their record to 5-0 and first place in the South Division standings. Kendra Horlick scored 19 points and added 14 rebounds for the Eagles and Amanda Milmine had 12 rebounds. Parkside Collegiate Institute of St. Thomas is a close second place in the South Division with a 5-1 record and the two teams face each other at PCI on Tuesday, Oct. 21, tip-off at 3:30 p.m. Including non-league play, the Eagles are 7-1 for the season.
