Parents and pupils reading over breakfast

PBPS booksJennifer Fulton, left, and her daughter Samantha, 10, had some muffins and other morning-themed food and read a book together during Port Burwell Public School’s monthly Breakfast with Books event on Friday, Feb. 13. Up to 75 parents, grandparents or adult guardians and pupils attend the event that is helped staged with a Parents Reaching Out Grant from the provincial government. Principal Linda Westaway said the Breakfast with Books event has become popular and encourages parents to share time with their children at the school to become more comfortable there while improving literacy within the family.
