Aylmer Novice LL1 tie series
Forward Rhyan Hewbank celebrates after scoring one of his three goals during a first round game of his Aylmer team’s Lambton Middlesex Local League playoffs series versus Mount Brydges at East Elgin Community Complex on Sunday, Feb. 22. Aylmer Novice LL1 won 5-1 to even the series at two wins and a tie apiece and five points in the six point series. The win kept Aylmer alive to play another game and possibly come from behind to win the series. Rhyan also added two assists for a total of five points to lead his team. Colin Holmes potted two goals and two assists, Mackenzie Steele had two assists and Matthew Fluerie added a helper. The next game, which will decide the winner in the series, will be played in Mount Brydges, date and time to be decided. Aylmer Novice LL1’s regular season record was 15 wins, four losses and a tie.
