East Elgin Seniors win Southeast Senior basketball

websrbbAbbey Taylor of East Elgin Secondary School sneaked a pass around a host Lord Dorchester Secondary School defender during the Thames Valley Southeast Senior girls championship on Tuesday night, Nov. 17. EESS led most of the game, but the battle was a seesaw one, with LDSS constantly threatening. A three-pointer by Kendra Cornelissen with just over a minute left to play effectively sealed the win for East Elgin, which came out on top 48-39. EESS will play in a WOSSAA tournament at London Oakridge on Thursday, Nov. 19, with the first game at 11:30 a.m.
