Wild turkeys flock near Mapleton

d turkeys could be seen walking, running and then flying together in a snow-covered corn field on the east side of Belmont Road south of the intersection with Ron McNeil Line shortly before 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11. Veterinarian Dr. Vern Robertshaw of Imperial Road Animal Hospital contacted the Aylmer Express about coming across the over 50 wild turkeys in his travels. This photo was taken as the birds were all headed south towards a more wooded area and away from the road.
