Egging the dignitaries on at the Home Show

Aylmer Fair Board PresiHomeShow1dent Scott Lewis, left, handed Mike Vecchio, the husband of Elgin-Middlesex-London MP Karen Vecchio, a new egg to colour while Whitney McWilliam, the executive assistant for MPP Jeff Yurek, continued colouring her egg during the opening ceremonies of the seventh annual Aylmer and East Elgin Home, Garden and Rec Show at East Elgin Community Complex on Friday evening, March 4. Mr. Lewis had just intentionally broken Mr. Vecchio’s first egg in the fun Easter Egg colouring contest. Also participating in the contest but not pictured were Aylmer Mayor Greg Currie, Malahide Mayor Dave Mennill And Aylmer Fair Ambassador Erin Unger. Aylmer Fair Junior Ambassador Kelsey Antonissen judged Mayor Mennill’s egg to be the best. The Home Show continued on Saturday, March 5 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 6 from noon to 4 p.m.
