Bubble fun at Co-opalooza

Kahlo Barre-Older, 3, of LondoCoopaloozan chased a large soap bubble at the first ever Co-opalooza at the Gay Lea Dairy Heritage Museum west of Copenhagen on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 27. The event celebrated southwestern Ontario’s co-operative, community-owned businesses including credit unions, grocery stores, theatres, band-owned record labels, retail stores and Gay Lea itself which is a farmer-owned dairy company. The day-long event included live music, team games, crafts, children’s activities, food vendors and information booths set up by several co-operative businesses. Visitors were encouraged to bring their own picnic lunches to enjoy with their families and take a stroll through the trails on the 98 acre site.
