Dog lovers descend upon Steen Park

Meyer, a four-year-old Cavalier King Charles spaniel owned by Charla Prtenjaca of London, ran the lure course set up in Steen Park in Aylmer for the first ever Dog Lovers Days event on Saturday, Aug. 27. Sponsored by Elgin Feeds to raise money for Helping Paws Rescue by asking for a free-will donation for visitor entry, the six-hour event included the lure course, demonstrations, pet therapy services, several pet-themed vendors and information booths, a best-dressed dog contest, a leash-free play zone for dogs, a food vendor and more.
