Plowing for the fun of it

webploughingAllister Cameron, left, a former champion from 1950, 1951 and 1952, got done his duties as an Elgin Plowmen’s Association steward early at Saturday’s county plowing match on the Mary VanRoestel farm at the north end of Springwater Road Saturday, Sept. 10, and, under the gaze of fellow director Paul Faulds, went out to try his own hand at turning the furrows, just for the fun of it. Mr. Cameron, originally from Dutton, now resides in Byron.
