Monster Dash warms up Kinsmen Park

 

 

 

 

 

Right photo: The participants of the second annual Monster Dash Fun Run warmed up with some calisthenics and stretching in Aylmer Kinsmen Park before heading off on one of three lengths of the Halloween-themed run or walk event on Saturday morning, Oct. 29. Most of the about 30 participants in the 10 kilometre, 5 km or 2.5 km run/walk wore costumes to add to the Halloween fun. Left photo: After the 10 km runners and walkers finished the course through Aylmer’s park system, a kids’ obstacle dash was held in Kinsmen Park with about 20 participants including “ballerina” Lexi Robinson-Martin, 7, who expertly hopped over the straw bale hurdle to finish the course. Proceeds from the Monster Dash go towards a local charitable cause that was undecided as of the day of the event.
