Junior Eagles fall in hardfought basketball semifinal

Maya Allen of East Elgin Secondary School was clotheslined by a Woodstock Huron Park Secondary School defender during a Thames Valley Regional Southeast Junior girls basketball semifinal in Dorchester on Thursday, Nov. 12. EESS trailed 4-20 at the end of the first quarter, yet somehow managed to fight back to within one point of HPSS late in the fourth. But the Woodstock team hung on for a 35-32 win.
