Mary Klassen

Klassen, Mary of Aylmer passed away peacefully in her 82nd year at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on March 27th, 1942.  Our hearts rejoice that she is reunited in glory with our dad, Abe (2019), her mom and dad, Jacob and Maria(Reimer) Klassen, her sister Neta Banman(John), and her infant brother, Johann. Beloved mother of Lydia Teichroeb(David), Herman(Jan), Rodney(Shila), Melinda Doan(Rob) and Darryl(Joy).  Loving grandmother of Shelby, Jackson, Caleb(Chelsea), Benjamin, Jamey, Ivan, Kira, Alanna, Luke, Sawyer, Julia and Simon. Also survived by sisters Margaret Peters(Dick),  Betty Hollinger(Andrew), Anna Wiebe(Pete), Tina Wiebe(Cornelius), Lena Cornell, Sally Matschke, a brother John Klassen(Helen) and a number of nieces and nephews. Mary’s faith in Jesus Christ was evident in her lifestyle and she was a wonderful role model to her children and grandchildren. Mary enjoyed crafts, painting, interior decorating, sewing, and quilting and was always ready to tackle a new artistic experience. Mary had great determination and her strength contributed to her role in the family business as bookkeeper and in property management. She cherished her time with Abe, enjoying the warm Arizona winters and together they travelled to other countries. She always looked forward to social outings with friends and family, playing cards, visiting, and coffee. We, the family, wish to thank Dr. Darius Ho and the Palliative Care Team  (VON, Care Partners, and Closing the Gap) for their excellent professional care of mom. Our family was also blessed to have an awesome team of personal care support workers who lovingly and attentively cared for our mom. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Evangelical Mennonite Mission Church (Summers Corners) on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or The Family Central (serving the underprivileged in Aylmer) would be appreciated.
