Sarah Bergen

BERGEN, Sarah (September 30, 1943 – February 16, 2024)

Passed away, peacefully on Friday, February 16th, 2024, with her loving family by her side, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Sarah (Neufeld) Bergen a resident of RR2 Langton at the age of 80. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, daughter of the late Gerhard and Sarah (Wieler) Neufeld. Sarah was a much-loved and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, step-grandmother and step-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who she cared deeply about every waking moment. Sarah was a dedicated member of the Living Hope Church, Port Rowan. Sarah was predeceased by her much-loved husband Abram Bergen of 47 years (February 11, 2011) and children: Abram, Helen, a grandson: Jacob Bergen and great-grandson Jacobie Evans. Sarah will be deeply missed by her loving children: Gerhard and Anna Bergen, Abraham and Lena Bergen, Sarah and Wayne Evans, Tina and Trevor Baltus, David Bergen, Margaret and Dan Thiessen, Nettie and Vychan Penner and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren.

We look to the bible for strength and inspiration and therefore we find hope in Isaiah 40:31.

But those who wait on the Lord

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not be faint.

Funeral Service to Celebrate Sarah’s Life and Christian Faith to be celebrated on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. by Pastor Peter Wiebe and Pastor Dave Hunt of the Living Hope Church, Port Rowan. Interment in Langton Baptist Cemetery.
