$250,000 for Straffordville Community Centre

Elgin-Middlesex-London MP Joe Preston on Friday, July 31, announced a $250,000 grant toward needed renovations of the Straffordville Community Centre, which has been closed to the public over safety concerns.

Bayham Mayor Paul Ens said his council would now have to decide whether or not to match the grant to make the renovations needed to re-open the building, or continue with a process to declare it surplus and sell it.

He hoped for the former, and that repairs could be completed within a year or so.
