Messy science fun at Old Town Hall Library

Craig (Johnston) the Science Guy enlisted the help of Vinny Ierullo, 6, to conduct his paint and gravity experiment during the kick-off of the Summer Reading Program at Aylmer Old Town Hall Theatre on Thursday afternoon, July 9. About 50 children attended that afternoon’s event. The Aylmer Library, which occupies the first floor of Old Town Hall with the Theatre on the second floor, will hold a fun event for children each Thursday until Aug. 6 starting at 2 p.m. This year’s goal is for the 155 children registered to read a total of 2,015 books. Mr. Johnston is from Aylmer and volunteered his time as the Science Guy that afternoon to entertain, and enlighten, the children with several fun and colourful experiments, most of which required volunteers from the audience to conduct.
