Mayor Currie accused of conflict
Aylmer Mayor Greg Currie was accused of a “conflict of interest” by Councillor Ted McDonald during the Monday night, Dec. 14 council meeting.
The two exchanged words near the end of the meeting during the reading of bylaws.
Councillors were about to give the third and final reading of a bylaw that made the official changes to council and citizen appointments to committees and boards when Cr. McDonald said he believed Mayor Currie had a conflict of interest sitting on the Aylmer Police Services Board while his private business conducted testing of applicants to police and fire departments.
