Two vehicle crash north of Aylmer slows morning rush
A two vehicle crash at the intersection of Imperial Road and Ron McNeil Line north of Aylmer at about 8 a.m. on Friday, April 29 interfered with the morning rush of traffic in the area. A blue Ford Fusion car was initially seen several feet in the ditch on the southwest corner of the intersection before a tow truck operator used a winch to bring it up to the shoulder of the road. The other car involved in the crash was a white Honda that was seen on the southwest shoulder of the road slightly farther south along Imperial Road. The extent of injuries to both drivers was not known and no further information was available at the scene as Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police officers were continuing their investigation. Aylmer Police were also on scene routing southbound traffic onto Ron McNeil Line. Eastbound and westbound traffic along Ron McNeil Line was allowed to continue through the intersection while Imperial Road between Ron McNeil Line and College Line was closed to northbound and southbound traffic until the two damaged cars were removed. Malahide volunteer firefighters and emergency medical services paramedics were also at the scene.
